Even though earth science was Serena’s favorite school subject, it was her U.S. history teacher who made a lasting impression because he “always made learning fun but also showed he truly cared about each of his students.” A similar joy for connecting with people prompted Serena to enter the customer service field nearly a decade ago, leading to her current role assisting teachers as part of the GetWise AM Conservation educational team. At home, she loves celebrating fall and the “spooky season,” spending time with friends and family, or curling up with a good book.
